Biography:
Jordan Thomas Burnett is an 2021 honors graduate of Wagner College in Staten Island, New York, where he worked towards a double major to fully immerse himself in the theatre program. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Performance and Design, Tech, Management. While at Wagner College, Jordan was a student of 2003 Tony Award Winner Michele Pawk (best featured actress in a play - Hollywood Arms) and recently on the Broadway stage in Wicked as Madame Morrible.
Jordan was born and raised in Hamilton, New Jersey where he had an early fascination with music and began performing in middle school. Some of his most notable theatre credits include Don Lockwood (Singin' in the Rain), Seymour Krelborn (Little Shop of Horrors), Tully Mars (Escape to Margaritaville), Nick Bottom (Something Rotten) where he was nominated in Broadway World's Boston Awards for Best Performer in a Musical, Sky Rymand (Mamma Mia), Mordred (Camelot), Lucas Beineke (The Addams Family Musical), and the chance to understudy perform as Charlie Price (Kinky Boots).
On the resort and cruise stages, Jordan appeared in Finding Christmas (a Rand Production original) as a Lead Vocalist at the MGM Beau Rivage Resort in Biloxi, Mississippi and a Production Cast Principal singer on the Norwegian Spirit cruising to Alaska, Australia, Fiji, Hawaii, New Zealand and Tahiti while performing in three original NCLH shows, Blazing Boots, Elements and World Beat as well as a Broadway Cabaret.
On the New York City circuit, Jordan has appeared as a cabaret soloist at Don't Tell Mama restaurant and piano bar, The Duplex, The Producers Club and graced the Carnegie Hall stage with the Wagner College Choir. He trained with his Wagner College vocal coach Anthony Turner where he performed annually in a spring vocal recital. Jordan believes that artists should always fine tune their craft and continually pursue additional training. Jordan takes dance classes at Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway and voice lessons at Broadway VOX and Will Bryan Studios.
2024 Horizon:
Jordan's had a great year so far and played the iconic role of Don Lockwood in Singin' in the Rain at Waterfront Playhouse in beautiful Key West, FL. He also made his La Comedia Theatre debut in West Side Story as Action (Tony u/s). La Comedia (located in Springboro, Ohio) is one of the nation's largest and oldest professional dinner theatres with Broadway-style entertainment. On April 26th Jordan had the opportunity to take the stage as Tony for two shows and his performance was well received by the audience.
